| PAINTING/COLLEGE PAINTING Grades: 11, 12; 1 Term, 3 College Credits, Prerequisite: Intro to Art College. Credit Requirements: Accuplacer score 56 reading comprehension or 1047 MCA reading score and a 3.0 GPA 11th grade or a 2.5 GPA 12th grade This course will cover color theory as well as the techniques of painting with watercolor, oil and acrylic paint. Time will be spent on selecting and arranging subject matter for a painting. Students of various abilities will be encouraged to improve on his/her own skills and develop an individual style. Introduction to Art is required before taking this class.
