| HUMAN BIOLOGY Grades: 11, 12; 1 Semester, Ability = Above Average, Prerequisite: “C” or above in Biology A and B This course is designed for students interested in an in-depth study of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. It should be of special interest to those contemplating careers in health-related fields. The various topics studied will include body orientation and medical terms and the following body systems: Integumentary, circulatory, respiratory, skeletal, muscular, nervous system and special senses. This is a lab/activity based class. Students will be expected to analyze and reflect on labs and activities using knowledge gained in lecture/discussion. The class learning objectives will revolve around these investigations. |
