Attention all current and want to be student council members: There will be a meeting at 7:30 am Wednesday in Mr. Inglis’ room.


Juniors & Seniors: A representative from St. John’s University and College of St. Benedict will be here today at 9:00 today.   If you are interested in meeting with this representative, please come to the guidance office at that time.


If you took Beginning Woods or Basic Cabinetry last year and have not picked up your project, do so by the end of the week please.


Students interested in taking the October 28th ACT Test should register by Friday, September 22nd to avoid a late registration fee. Go to www.actstudent.org to register. For questions or for a “Preparing for the ACT booklet”, please see Sabine in the Guidance Office.


Attention Students 9-12th graders:   Are you making a difference through volunteer service?  If so, you should apply for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award.  You could win $1000.00 and a trip to Washington, D.C., next spring.  For more information and to apply go to http://spirit.prudential.com.    Application and the student/parent agreement must be completed and submitted by November 7, 2017.   You must also print out instructions for your certifier/principal. Please see Sabine in the Guidance Office if you have questions or for  more information.


9th-12th graders: Toolkit for College 2017 - Monday, September 25th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. At  St. Cloud Technical & Community College! An Opportunity to meet with college and military recruiters, presentation on BBBS scholarships opportunities, panel discussions on what you need to prepare for college, financial aid information, and ACT.  Pizza will be provided. Event is free but RSVP is required to Ann Matvick at amatvick@bbscentralmn.org or 320-258-4517.  See Sabine in Guidance Office for more information.


**Over 350 colleges and universities will be a part of the Minnesota National College Fair being held at the Minneapolis Convention Center.  The hours are 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27  and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 28th .   Visit the website at Minnesota National College Fair  at www.mn-acac.org/ncf for  campus maps and more information.  Students are allowed to use campus visit time for an excused absence if you wish to attend.
