Foley Public Schools has recently identified and adopted a set of core values.  These values are a central belief, deeply understood and shared by every member of an organization.  There is evidence of the core values everywhere throughout the organization.

Today's core value is Achievement - provide learning opportunities and support for all students, families, and community members.

BIGS:  There will be a large group picture taken on FRIDAY at 8am in the entryway of the High School. The picture is for the yearbook. Please be present and ready to go right at 8am.

The February FFA meeting will be held on Tuesday morning beginning at 7:50 AM . Agenda items include upcoming contests, FFA week, and upcoming projects for students.

At this past speech meet on Saturday, Corrine Workman received 7th place in Improvised Speaking, Emily Falk received 4th place in Original Oratory, and Edward Bakko received 4th place in Improvised Speaking and 1st place in Storytelling. Be sure to congratulate them today for their accomplishments.

Seniors: In Advisory on Wednesday you will be introduced to the the Local Scholarship Packet. Any student planning to go to any post secondary school, please bring your laptop or a flashdrive if you have one.

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to attend Construct Tomorrow at the Hinckley Events Center on February 22nd.  This is an event where you will learn about the construction industry and a variety of careers.  You will have the opportunity to participate and learn through hands-on activities and talk directly with employers and workers in different career fields.  Stop by the Guidance Office to pick up a permission slip.  The cost of the event is $3.00.

The first practice for summer colorguard will be today after school from 3:30-5:30 pm in the FIS Cafeteria.  Anyone interested in colorguard is encouraged to come try it out.  A schedule of practices is available at the office.  Anyone with questions can see Mrs. Erickson in room 330.

In honor of Valentines week, we will have Strawberry malts for sale during lunch.

Lunch Menu:

Side 1: Taco with Shell, brown rice, refried beans, fresh veggies, jonny pops, apple and assorted milk.

Side 2:Chicken Fajitas, brown rice, refried beans, fresh veggies, jonny pops, apple and assorted milk.

Side 3: Oriental chicken bowl .

Breakfast:  Scrambled Eggs, Wrap/Toast, orange smiles, juice and assorted milk.
