Foley Senior, Junah Rudolph, Awarded Full 4-Year Scholarship to Princeton University

Foley, MN 12/5/2025 — Foley High School senior Junah Rudolph has been admitted to Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey with a full four-year QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship. On receiving news of the scholarship, Junah said, “oh man, that's good news, that's really good news.” This year, QuestBridge’s 55 college partners matched with 2,550 Finalists, who are recognized as Match Scholarship Recipients.

Throughout high school, Junah has consistently taken on the most challenging college-prep coursework at Foley High School and currently holds the number one rank in his class. Highly motivated and goal-oriented, Junah continually strives for academic excellence. Junah is actively involved in Minnesota Honor Society, Student Council, Knowledge Bowl, Speech Team, Communicating Common Ground, Art Club, Marching Band, fall musicals, and spring plays, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and dedication in every activity. Equally impressive, Junah is kind, respectful, and approachable—qualities that make him a valued and trusted member of the Foley community.  Junah plans to pursue a degree in Computer Science with the aspiration of being a professor.

“This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients embody excellence in so many ways, and we're excited to support them as they continue to dream big,” said Ana Rowena Mallari, Co-Founder and CEO of QuestBridge. “Since QuestBridge’s founding over 30 years ago, we've witnessed the incredible impact our Scholars can make in their lives, families, and communities, and we know that this year's students will make a positive impact, too.”

Each Match Scholarship Recipient receives early admission and a full four-year scholarship to a QuestBridge college partner, ensuring for these students and their families that an education at a top college is affordable. The Match Scholarship — provided by the college — is made up of a generous financial aid package that covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses. The Match Scholarship does not include loans or a parental contribution.

This year’s Match Scholarship Recipients represent all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, as well as the territories of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico. These students become the first QuestBridge Scholars for the Class of 2030. Many more Finalists will become QuestBridge Scholars through QuestBridge Regular Decision or other admission rounds. All Finalists who ultimately matriculate to QuestBridge college partners join a community of over 35,000 QuestBridge Scholars and Alumni worldwide.

The QuestBridge National College Match has successfully connected over 19,000 students with full scholarships at some of the nation’s best colleges. Through programming and partnerships with top colleges, graduate schools, and leading companies, QuestBridge helps its Scholars realize their full potential at every stage of life.

Mr. Drake Nominated The River 96.7 Teacher of the Month

Congratulations to Foley's Alternative Learning Center teacher, Steven Drake, for being nominated as the 96.7 The River's Teacher of the Month!

Mr. Drake was nominated by coworker, Cari Niss, who had this to say about him:

"The kids that attend the ALC say that Mr. Drake is very understanding, trusting and always there for them. He earns the kids' respect and many come back after they graduate to let him know how and what they are doing.

I transport the students in the van from the High School to the ALC during the school day and I see the respect that the kids have for Mr. Drake. He does his best to make sure that the kids stay caught up so that they can graduate on time.

I feel that the ALC teachers often get overlooked but may be doing the hardest job. Steve definitely deserves to be nominated for Teacher of the Month.”

School Bus Stop Arm Cameras

A quick lesson on school bus stop arm cameras:

A school bus stop-arm camera is an automated system designed to catch drivers who illegally pass a stopped school bus. These systems use high-resolution cameras, often with infrared illumination for night use, to photograph vehicles that pass while the stop arm is extended and lights are flashing. The captured evidence, which includes video clips, license plate images, and other data, is wirelessly sent to a secure platform for review by law enforcement, who can then issue a citation to the vehicle's registered owner.

This technology is designed to keep our school bus passengers safe.

**Check out the clarity on one of our Foley School Bus stop arm cameras! They are equipped on all of our buses with the grant money we received from the State of MN.
