FHS DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

              White Day for 10&11!      

                                                                                             

Congratulations to the Foley Knowledge Bowl Team of Haley Evenson, Anthony Johnson, Jacob Odenthal, Zachary Kuelbs, Evelyn Johnson, and Kristen O’Brien who won the Granite Ridge Conference Championship on Tuesday Night  

 

The Falconettes continue to excel and conquer their goals as they received 3rd place out of 11 teams for varsity high kick last Saturday at Alexandria. The varsity high kick team came in behind Sartell and ROCORI. Varsity jazz received 8th. Our JV kick team received 8th as well and for JV Jazz, there were more competitors in that division and they received 7th out of 12 teams! Tomorrow, we’ll be at Melrose and this Saturday, we’re headed to Zimmerman for our final conference meet. Next Saturday, February 27th we’ll be at Sartell for sections! #FDTSTRONG.

 

SPRING PLAY: If you are interested in being in the spring play, please email Mrs. Hesch at jhesch@apps.isd51.org.  Include your first & last name, grade and if you are interested in a big part, small part or want to be in the tech crew. 

 

Juniors & Seniors: A representative from Alexandria Technical and Community College  will be here on Tuesday, February 23rd. If you are interested in meeting with this representative, please see Sabine in the Guidance for the time she is coming and to sign up.  

 

Juniors: Please fill out the 11th Grade College & Career Readiness survey that we assigned in your class of 2022 google classroom. Thank You. 

 

Seniors: Scholarship Opportunity: The Scholarship Committee of the Vietnam Veterans of American, Central Chapter 290 would like to offer two scholarships of $750 intended for children or grandchildren who are descendent and/or relatives of veterans of the Vietnam War. See attached for application. 

 

Hats are not allowed to be worn at Foley High School. This is based on school district policy.  Please keep your hats in your locker, in your vehicle or at home. Individuals who need frequent reminders will have their hats kept in the office.

 

Seniors: Just a quick reminder that Community GIving scholarship applications are open for just a few more days! CommunityGiving has scholarships open and available for a variety of higher education opportunities.  You may access them directly by using the following link:  https://www.communitygiving.org/index.php/applyforscholarships.  They are open December 1-March 1.  Full descriptions are available on the website.

 

Seniors: Keep working on your Local Scholarship Packet. Please do not wait until the last minute. Check and reCheck your work. Feel free to submit your packet as soon as it is completed. TIP FOR THE DAY: Make sure you are thinking hard on all of your school and community based activities 9-12 grade. Many scholarships are based on this information. DEADLINE: February 25th, 3:30 pm.

 

SENIORS:Just a note to remind you that the St. Cloud Rox Project S.A.V.E. Foundation has five (5) individual scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000, for this 2020-21 academic year. The Project S.A.V.E. Foundation scholarships are exclusive to senior students attending a Central Minnesota High School.  Our Deadline for the students to apply will be April 30, 2021. https://www.roxprojectsavefoundation.org/2021-program-1

 

Juniors- You've all been added to the new Class of 2022 google classroom.  The Class of 2022 classroom will have important updates for ACT, College and Career Readiness, and other important announcements. Please fill out the College and Career Readiness survey by Friday, February 19th, 3:30 pm that was assigned to you.
