| ECONOMICS Grade: 12; 1 Term, Ability = All, Required This course is designed to cover a number of aspects related to the operation of our economic system. We will examine the basic problems of all economies, the basic principles of the American Free Enterprise system, and then we will look at as many areas of our economy as time will allow (Economic systems, Supply and Demand, Market Structures, Taxes, Banking, GDP and Unemployment, Fiscal and Monetary Policy, Foreign Trade, etc). The objective is to gain a better understanding of what makes our system work, some of its problems and its advantages. |
