FHS Daily Announcements - Wednesday, October 25th

-Remember there is an altered schedule today due to the speaker who will be here in the morning. 

-Ms.Lowery’s students will have study hall in class today. Please bring materials to work on.  

-Late buses WILL NOT be running October 31, 2023

-Seniors: If you have decided your plans after you graduate, school, military or workforce, stop in the Guidance Office to complete a future plans coloring sheet to display in the guidance office window. There is also a map that your officers would like you to “dot” where the school is located. 

-Please help the Falcon Nest build a "Bubblr wall" to win a mini fridge for the concession stand from Bernicks.  Put your cans in the round bin located in the cafeteria by the lockerbay.  We're almost there!  We need 70 more cans.

-Recertification: Lifeguarding Course

American Red Cross Lifeguard Recertification course is a lifeguard training refresher course, for individuals who are currently certified through the American Red Cross and do not want their certifications to expire. The Lifeguard Recertification course will be a ‘blended learning model’ which includes the following certifications: Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, valid for 2 years. 

  • Wednesday, November 29th- 3:00 PM-7:00PM
  • Meet in the FHS pool
  • $65
  • Register with Community Education 
  • Register online or check with Ms.Piepgras

 

-The Activities Department is looking for a couple of students interested in working the Clock and Book for the boys and girls C Squad basketball games this winter.  Training will be provided but some basketball knowledge is helpful.  Stop and see Corri in the HS Office for more information.   

 

-Necklace was found. Identify and claim in the Main Office 

 

-Taste Testing at the HIGH SCHOOL

We will be offering some taste testing at the HS on Wednesday, October 25th.

We will be trying 3 different items during lunch and would like your feedback on these items. We will be trying a chicken/vegetable dumpling, BBQ chicken Pizza and also a new potato option. Enjoy and let us know your thoughts.

 

-A representative from Concordia College will be in the Guidance Office on Thursday, October 26 during Flex. Stop by to see what Concordia has to offer.

-A bluetooth speaker was found.  Identify and claim in the high school office. 

 

-There will be no open gym during FLEX this week due to the badminton unit in PE class.

 

-Senior photos and quotes are due to the yearbook by no later than October 31st, please make sure your quote is appropriate for publication in the yearbook and that your photo is meeting the size requirements sent out to you.   Any questions regarding either your quote or photo should be directed to Mrs. Keating.
