-Seniors: TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE MONTH!! Almost all Minnesota colleges and universities are waiving application fees during the month of October for College Knowledge Month - or they never charge a fee throughout the year. Access the full list here.  Don’t forget to request your transcript once you submit your application! If you need help, please come to the Guidance Office.

-Girls Sports Lockers – If you were in a Fall sport and are not participating in a Winter or Spring sport, please empty your lockers as soon as possible.  Once you have it empty, please check out with Corri Gross in the office so lockers can be reassigned to Winter athletes.  If you feel the need to keep your locker because you will be participating in a Spring sport, let Corri know – you may be allowed to keep your locker.  If you leave your items in a locker and you are not participating in an activity, your items will be removed.

-Seniors interested in applying to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities:
The Early Action I Deadline is November 1, but students will have until November 8 to complete any portion of their application (including the application form itself). Please stop in the guidance office if you have questions or need help. Reminder that the U of MN-Twin cities has Share My App Program which allows students who apply to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus to share their application with all University of Minnesota campuses (Crookston, Duluth, Morris, and Rochester) with no additional application or fee.

-“Friendly reminder to our student drivers from SRO Vickstom: The driver of any motor vehicle involved in a collision shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the collision, or as close to the scene as possible, and reasonably investigate what was struck. If the driver knows or has reason to know the collision resulted in damage to any unattended vehicle, the driver must either locate and notify the driver or owner of the vehicle or report this same information to a Peace Officer. Or even a School Staff member. This applies to FHS parking lot. You are required to remain on scene! Even if you hit another vehicle in the lane of traffic. I promise you the consequences are far worse if you try to leave the scene of an accident and not take responsibility for what happened. They are called ACCIDENTS for a reason. If you ever find yourself in this situation, please do the right thing and take responsibility for what happened. If you remain on scene, there will be no fines/citations. If you leave the scene before exchanging your information with the other party involved, there will be fines/citations. Any questions or concerns, feel free to see me anytime. Thank you and drive safe!”

-This week on Friday a grade review will be conducted. If you have any grade that is a D- or lower you will be restricted for Flex beginning on Monday 11/6/23 and lasting for three weeks. If you are on the restricted list you are required to stay in your assigned flex period (unless allowed to leave at teacher request).

If you would prefer to have freedom of movement and choice during your flex time, we encourage you to make every effort possible to have all grades at least a D or higher by Friday.

The current restriction list is in place through Friday 11/3.

If you believe an error was made when the new list is announced, please see Mr. McMorrow.
