FHS Daily Announcements - Thursday, February 22nd

 

-All 11th graders must report to the Auditorium TODAY after 1st period with your laptop. Students will be creating your MyACT account in preparation for the ACT test. This must be completed in order for you to take the ACT!. *Make sure your computer is on and charged! Pick up your direction sheet in the entrance as you enter the auditorium 

 

-Seniors: Scholarship packet is due TODAY by 3:30pm.  Stop by the guidance office if you have any questions or concerns. 

 

-Juniors/Seniors who have Human Biology or Painting 3rd Trimester: You will receive an email from Kristi in the Guidance Office today if you need to submit a Central Lakes College Application. If you need any assistance with this stop in the guidance office. All applications must be submitted prior to March 4th in order for you to receive college credit.

 

Junior/Seniors: Who are considering/slightlying thinking about adding Human Biology or Painting to your Trimester 3 schedule must stop in the guidance office before the end of day tomorrow. If you decide after February 28th to join either class you will NOT receive college credit. Central Lakes College applications are due prior to the start of Tri 3. 

 

-All students who signed up for the Blood Drive: Please check your email for a note sent from the Red Cross. This email will let you know your donation time. Please bring your ID and signed parent permission form (if you still have it) to your appointment tomorrow. The blood drive will be in the north end of the high school gym. Enter at the doors near the lunch line. Eat a hearty dinner tonight, a big breakfast tomorrow morning, and start drinking lots of water NOW!! Thank you so much for your willingness to donate!! 

 

-CCG: If you are participating in communicating common ground tonight (Thursday) , meet in front of the high school entrance right after school. We will be leaving by 3pm. 

 

-National FFA Week! :

Dress Up Days:

       Thursday: Tractor Wear Day (Wear your favorite tractor color) 

       Friday: Flannel Friday 

 

-9th,10th,11th graders who did not turn in a completed registration form should do so ASAP to the guidance office. 

 

-Student Track workers are needed!  

If you are not in a spring sport but would still like to be involved in a spring activity, stop and see Corri in the high school office.  Students are needed to assist with several field events for home track meets and compensation is available.  Stop by to get your name on the list!

 

-”Friendly reminder to our student drivers from Officer Cody: MN Statute states all drivers must stop for a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Failure to do so may result in serious injury and/or a misdemeanor citation. A second offense within 1 year enhances to a gross misdemeanor. Always ensure we are being attentive drivers.
