FHS Daily Announcements - Friday, February 23rd

-MS. GROSS'S 2ND PERIOD STUDENTS HAVE A CIS DAY TODAY.  PLEASE REPORT TO THE MEDIA CENTER IF YOU ARE STAYING IN THE BUILDING.

-11th graders who missed the ACT meeting during Flex yesterday should stop by the guidance office ASAP to pick up your Pre Admission information –this information must be complete prior to the test date.

 

-National FFA Week!

Today's Trivia Question! First person to answer correctly will win a prize!

Annelise Jennissen was the winner of guessing the amount of corn in the jar! 

All FFA Members: Our next chapter meeting will be on February 27th at 4:00pm in Keiser’s Classroom. 

 

-Auditions for the Spring Play, Peter Pan: The Non-Flying Version!, will take place afterschool on Monday, February 26th  in the auditorium. Audition packets are available in the office. 

 

-Seniors: Don’t forget to request your high school transcript to be sent to the colleges you apply to. See Kristi in the Guidance Office for assistance. 

 

-Attention softball and baseball players: there will be open gym Monday and Wednesday mornings for the next two weeks. If you want to come and throw or do some hitting work, a supervisor will be in the fieldhouse from 6:45 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Please contact coach Rasmussen or Beier if you have questions. 

 

-We are doing a Pop Tab drive in honor of Rare Disease Day. The blue and white house is located outside of the Guidance Office. The Tabs will be recycled and the proceeds will go towards families staying at the House, while their child undergoes treatment. 

 

-Juniors/Seniors who have Human Biology or Painting 3rd Trimester: You will receive an email from Kristi in the Guidance Office today if you need to submit a Central Lakes College Application. If you need any assistance with this stop in the guidance office. All applications must be submitted prior to March 4th in order for you to receive college credit.

 

Junior/Seniors: Who are considering/slightlying thinking about adding Human Biology or Painting to your Trimester 3 schedule must stop in the guidance office before the end of day tomorrow. If you decide after February 28th to join either class you will NOT receive college credit. Central Lakes College applications are due prior to the start of Tri 3. 


-Gift card found, claim/identify in the main FHS office.

 

-Student Track workers are needed!  

If you are not in a spring sport but would still like to be involved in a spring activity, stop and see Corri in the high school office.  Students are needed to assist with several field events for home track meets and compensation is available.  Stop by to get your name on the list!

 

-”Friendly reminder to our student drivers from Officer Cody: MN Statute states all drivers must stop for a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Failure to do so may result in serious injury and/or a misdemeanor citation. A second offense within 1 year enhances to a gross misdemeanor. Always ensure we are being attentive drivers.
