FHS Daily Announcements - Monday, March 11th

-11th Graders: All 11th graders will be taking the ACT test Tomorrow (make up date Tuesday, March 19th). The test will start promptly at 8:05, students who are late will not be allowed to take the test that day. Cell Phones, smartwatches, backpacks, jackets, food, and drink will not be allowed in the room during the test. All students taking the ACT will have C lunch when the test is finished and will report to their regular 4th period. Please plan to bring an ACT approved calculator. Classroom rosters will be posted on Monday in the locker bay area.  School sponsored laptop is required! Make sure it is fully charged, charging outlets will not be available! Please use the restroom before presenting to your assigned room. Any questions please reach out to Mr. Mellgren or the guidance office. 

 

-Bells will be turned off on Tuesday, March 12th until 1:42 due to ACT testing

-March Madness is here!

A Connect 4 tournament will be taking place starting on March 18th in Mr. Notsch’s room.  The first 16 students from each grade level to fill out this Google form will play in a double elimination tournament to determine the grade champion.  That person will win a $20 gift card.  Then, the winners from each grade will compete in a final four championship to determine the Grand Champion and they will get an additional gift card!!

-FFA Chapter Meeting March 12th @ 4:00pm in Keisers room 

 

-Spring Sports are starting soon!  If you currently have a locker and are not participating in a Spring sport, please clean your locker out as soon as possible. 

 

-Girls' spring sport lockers may be checked out with Corri Gross in the high school office and boys should see Mr. Keeler.

-The Student Council is putting on a Spring Black Light Dance!  The theme is "Let's Glow Party!"  The dance will be held in the Elementary Gym on Friday April 12th.  We will have a DJ, black lights, glow in the dark decorations and glow sticks for fun.  White T-Shirts with neon trim are available for purchase and will get you in the dance for free at:  https://fhsblacklight24.itemorder.com/shop/home/ these are perfect for drawing on with highlighters!  We'll see you there for some casual fun!!

 

-Seniors: Deadline to order and purchase commencement packages is Friday March 15th

 

Our Falcon Archers had a great day in Zimmerman this past weekend at the Thunder 300, our last regular season tournament of the year. Many perfect 50’s, personal records, and even a shoot out took place. We will now focus on preparing for the MN NASP State Tournament taking place in Rochester March 22nd and 23rd.

-“Friendly reminder to our student drivers from Officer Cody: MN Statute states any driver that operates their vehicle in a manner that endangers the safety of others or property, could result in a citation for careless driving and/or cause injury to oneself, another, or property. Unreasonable acceleration or squealing of the tires is also a violation of City Ordinance! NO BURNOUTS! Erratic driving in FHS Parking lot is also a violation.
