FHS Daily Announcements - Friday, March 15th 

 

-Attention All Students:  Just a reminder that an end of Trimester grade of an F in any of your courses is considered an Activities Academic Violation. This includes all Sports, Fine Arts, FFA, Archery, or any other School Activity. If you fail a course you will need to sit out one contest/event this spring or next fall/winter.  The violation does not go away over the summer. Thank you! 

 

-We are coming for you Mr.Keeler!  Currently our school has raised $1118.00 towards the cool schools polar plunge.  By meeting our $1000.00 goal, Mr.Marod will be completing the plunge.  Please see Mr.Crowell or Ms.Piepgras if you are interested in participating in the plunge on April 5th here at school.  

 

-Trimester 2 Welding students please pick up you chair to bring home ASAP

 

-March Madness is here!

A Connect 4 tournament will be taking place starting on March 18th in Mr. Notsch’s room during Flex.  The first 16 students from each grade level to fill out this Google form will play in a double elimination tournament to determine the grade champion.  That person will win a $20 gift card.  Then, the winners from each grade will compete in a final four championship to determine the Grand Champion and they will get an additional gift card!!

 

-11th & 12th grade Teacher Assistants & Online Course Academy students: Turn in your completed contract to the guidance office by end of day TODAY

 

-Just a reminder that you can only have 1 free breakfast.

If you have breakfast in the morning upon arrival, you will be charged if you are going through again at second chance.

You cannot purchase items if you are blocked! You cannot purchase items if you are negative. Thank you, Child Nutrition Friends

 

-Flex Reminders: Students, please stay out of the academic wings during flex unless you are going to visit a teacher. Also, the media center is a quiet work space.  

 

-Prom tickets are available for purchase on the online school store and will remain on sale through Tuesday, April 16th at 3PM.  Tuesday April 16th will be the final day to purchase a ticket.  If there is an issue with meeting this deadline you must see Mrs. Keating to make arrangements.  When you pay online, you will also need to be prepared to select a bus.  ALL students must ride a coach bus to and from Stillwater.  Additionally, if you are choosing to bring an outside guest you must complete an outside guest form completely and have it approved by Mr. Foss prior April 12th - Forms can be picked up from the Media Center.  All questions need to be directed to Mrs. Keating in room 310. Reminder: in order to be eligible for all dances, students must not have any overdue detention. If you are uncertain if this applies to you, see Mr. McMorrow

 

-Seniors: Sign up for the Senior Lock in! Sign up by May 3rd to be eligible for all gift packages

 

-The Student Council is putting on a Spring Black Light Dance!  The theme is "Let's Glow Party!"  The dance will be held in the Elementary Gym on Friday April 12th.  We will have a DJ, black lights, glow in the dark decorations and glow sticks for fun.  White T-Shirts with neon trim are available for purchase and will get you in the dance for free at:  https://fhsblacklight24.itemorder.com/shop/home/ these are perfect for drawing on with highlighters!  We'll see you there for some casual fun!!

-Seniors: Deadline to order and purchase commencement packages is Friday March 15th

 

-Are you a salty or sweet craving person? Last week's question of do you like waffles or pancakes - it was a tie.

 

-The Foley Elementary PTO is looking for any high school students who would be willing to help us with our Spring Carnival on Friday, May 3.  Students can choose to work either one or both shifts (4:30-6:30 & 6:30-8:30).   If you are interested in helping please complete your information on the attached form.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or Traci Otten, Foley Elementary Secretary.
