FHS Daily Announcements - Thursday, April 11th 

-Statewide Tornado Drill is TODAY @ 1:45pm - see attachment for weather emergency areas 

-No After School Program today

-Student Council will meet in the auditorium during flex today 4/11

-FFA Members: Flex Time meeting TODAY for any members attending State. 

Those attending the region 4 banquet TODAY will be released after 4th period.

-T-Shirt fundraiser to support Ms. Runyon, FES Music Teacher. See attached Flyer for details

-Minnesota Honor Society will be hosting a “Play it Forward” even on April 20th - see attached flyer for details 

-IMPORTANT Prom Attendees: The menu for this year's prom is: Herb Roasted Chicken, Beef Stroganoff, Parsley Buttered Potatoes, Garden Salad, Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Rolls with Butter and dessert of assorted bars and cookies.

Please let Mrs. Keating know by stopping into her classroom, 310,  if you have any food allergies that would be impacted by the menu.  

- Abbey Jurek & Ryann Pitts won the early bird drawing for the Senior Lock in

-Stop by the Media Center for the final round of voting in the book tournament! Facing off are, "Where the Crawdads Sing" and "The Hunger Games."  Winner of the last round of voters is Holly Braun- stop by to pick your prize! 

-Hey Falcon student body: the Student Council is putting on a blacklight dance this Friday 4/12 from 8:30-11 in the elementary gym.  Blacklights, a DJ, glow in the dark beach balls, glow in the dark decorations, highlighters for writing on white t-shirts, and glow sticks!!  It's the Let's Glow Party!!  Come out and celebrate spring!

-Applications for the Foley Ambassador Program for girls ages 16-20 are available in the Guidance Office and can be found online on the City of Foley’s website.  Completed applications are due to City Hall by Friday, April 12th.  Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to represent the City of Foley as a Foley Ambassador!

-All students: Reminder to check the current job postings listed on the guidance office window and on the FHS webpage. Opportunities include Foley Vet Clinic, Falcon Kids Care, City of Foley, Foley Public School - Building and Grounds, etc. 

-Seniors: Check your Class of 2024 Google Classroom. Three additional scholarships available only to FHS students have been posted!

-A message to our student driver's from Officer Cody:

Here are some more facts about Minnesota's distracted driving laws; What can't you do with your phone under the new law? You may not hold your phone in your hand. Also, a driver may not use their phone at any time for video calling, video live-streaming, Snapchat, gaming, looking at video or photos stored on the phone, using non-navigation apps, reading texts and scrolling or typing on the phone. The only time your phone should be in your hand is when you are in an emergency involving a threat to life and safety. If you have any questions feel free to come see me, and remember PUT THE PHONE DOWN!!!
