This year Foley Public School students participated in the St. Cloud Optimist Essay Contest. This year's topic was "How Does an Optimistic Mindset Change My Tomorrow?" Foley High School students placed first, second, and third in the local contest and also won the local contest to advance to the district level. Placing first was Zackery Jennissen; placing second was Sammy Lewandowski, and placing third was Zachary Kuelbs. Winners received certificates and scholarships. Zackery Jennissen also won the local level and advanced to the district competition.
