Congratulations to Mackenzie Herbst for earning a very special award from the national level! Each year Foley School district is able to send in nominations to the School Nutrition Association for Employee, Manager or Director of the Year. This year one of our Foley Child Nutrition staff members was chosen for the award.
Mackenzie comes to work every day with a smile on her face and is very dedicated to her job. The students feel comfortable coming to her with questions, if they have a special dietary need, or just need a listening ear. She knows them by name and will go the extra mile for anyone. Mackenzie is very professional and will step into a different position at a moment's notice, which is often needed.
Mackenzie enjoys coming up with new and exciting ideas to make breakfast and lunch fun for students and staff. She is always up to the challenge of coming up with fun and interesting ice cream flavors, as well as ideas that students share with her to better the lunch program. Mackenzie is involved with our local child nutrition chapter and enjoys going to and helping with our annual school nutrition conference that is held every August.
Thank you to Mackenzie for being a part of Foley Public Schools child nutrition team and making a difference in our students' lives. You go above and beyond to ensure hunger or lack of nutritious food is not an obstacle for student success. Congratulations on your well deserved award from the School Nutrition Association "Employee of the Year" for the State of Minnesota!
