It's Fall Sports Time!
On August 7th at 7:00pm, the Fall Sports Meeting will be held for those activities that start practice on the 14th. This includes 9-12th grade football, volleyball and girls tennis and 7-12th grade cross country and swim. These are required meetings for parents and athletes.
This year, parents will meet in the auditorium to hear a presentation called Proactive Coaching. Students will meet with Mr. Dahmen and the coaching staff at the same time in the high school gym to go over the MSHSL bylaws and Foley Public Schools Policy, IMPACT baseline concussion testing, and online registration followed by time with their coaches to get information for the upcoming season. At 8:00pm the groups will switch, with parents meeting in the gym and students heading to the auditorium.
Registration is available online at this time. Registration is found under the Activities tab on the Foley High School website. Fees can be paid online at the end of the online registration, or can be paid in the office during this event. The computer lab will also be open for registration the night of the meeting for anyone needing the use of a computer.
Reminder: All athletes must have a current physical on file and fees paid before he/she is eligible to practice. Physicals are required every 3 years to participate in any sport activities. If a sophomore has not had a physical since 7th grade, they will need to have a new physical before participating in any practice or event this fall.
If fees, physical and registration are not taken care of by the end of the third week, the participant will no longer be allowed to compete in events. This also includes all prior activity fees that are unpaid up to this point.
See you on August 7th. Go Falcons!
